Run For Hope

Helped out at the Run for Hope event @ The Regent hotel yesterday. Kel and my job were to usher people from the main entrance to the registration counter or race pack collection booths.

Our position was quite slack so we sat around and talked. I even took over the doorman duties for awhile!

Lunch was horrible so I was thankful when Kel, Shar, Amy and I together with a few I/Cs had the chance to eat something nicer thanks to Ducky, in the staff canteen, because somehow our dinner disappeared. The hotel manager brought us into a secret door which is the entrance to the hotel's laundry room, staff canteen etc, everything was connected via a long corridor. It was quite an experience because I have never seen the inside of a hotel and (don't laugh) I've never knew such place exists.

After dinner, the 4 of us decided to return to our positions but alas, we lost our way because every door looks the same. It didn't help that weird noises were heard from the laundry room.

Going down the bubblelift. I felt like my heart was gonna drop, it was like riding on SpaceShot, but I wanted to take it again.

The end of this event marks a new addition to my event shirt collection. ;P
